Migration

Moving from an existing provider

Moving from an existing bookkeeper, in-house hire or provider happens in controlled waves so nothing falls through the handover.

Switching providers is always nervous. You're worried about missing transactions, overlapping work, or having no one covering a critical date. We manage that risk by taking work in waves, not all at once.

Phased Handover

Work in controlled waves, not a big cutover

Rather than switching everything over on a single date, we take work in phases. First, a small subset — maybe one month or one client. Once that's running smoothly, we bring on more. Your existing bookkeeper or provider is still there until we've proven we can handle it reliably.

  • Phase 1: Pilot period with a small volume or single month
  • Phase 2: Gradually expand as confidence builds
  • Phase 3: Full handover once you're satisfied
  • Old provider stays in place during transition

Data Transfer & Setup

We handle the technical side

Your existing provider will give you an export or we'll get read access to grab the transaction history, chart of accounts, and whatever else we need. We validate it, reconcile opening balances, and set up the handover playbook so we're picking up exactly where your old provider left off.

  • We coordinate data export or access with your old provider
  • Opening balances verified and reconciled
  • Chart of accounts migrated or mapped
  • No manual re-entry of historical transactions
