How client data is handled

Bookkeeping work involves personal and financial data. We handle it under the same UK GDPR principles a client would expect from any UK-facing provider.

Bookkeeping necessarily involves access to financial data and often personal information about employees, directors and shareholders. We don't treat that lightly. We handle it under UK GDPR principles from day one.

Our Data Principles

How we process your data

Purpose Limitation

Data is processed only for the bookkeeping and accounting work agreed with you. We don't use your financial data for any other purpose — not for analytics, not for research, not for model training or development.

Data Minimisation

We only access and process the data we need to do your bookkeeping. We don't collect or retain historical data beyond what's required for the work, and we don't request information we don't actually use.

Limited Access

Access is limited to the team members assigned to your account. Not everyone in our company has access to your data — only the people actively working on your engagement.

No Sharing or Selling

Your data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used to train unrelated systems. It stays with Aicountants, used only for your engagement.

Your Rights

What you can do with your data

Under UK GDPR, you have specific rights over your personal data. You can request details of what we hold, how it's being processed, and in some cases, request it be deleted or corrected.
